It’s an easy read, has tons of super useful information, but isn’t so long that you’ll never finish it. Trying to navigate the banking system? Thinking of renting or buying? Wondering if you need to be fluent in Spanish? Do you need insurance? Want to know about residency, how to do proper “border runs”, which is the best local school for your child….. all mixed in with great anecdotes? I have lived here for over 23 years and this book has all the information that I would love to share with newcomers. It’s well informed and comprehensive as well as a fun read. Great book and very informative!
Recent RelocatorI bought this book before taking a trip down to Costa Rica because if I move or don’t move there is a lot of very helpful information on how the country works and local options. We tried out the food suggestion and got pineapple pie at Nogui’s and that was simply amazing. Also as a side note I am actually writing this review from Tamarindo, Costa Rica. My favorite part of the book is when they are trying to out run a forest fire while leaking gasoline out of their vehicle.
