Costa Rica Beaches Hours Are Extended

Excited is an understatement!!! Have you ever seen a beach sunset along the Golden Coast of Costa Rica? If you have, I don't have to tell you how amazing they are. I have seen beautiful beach sunsets around the world, but there is nothing like a Golden Coast sunset in Costa Rica.

It has been 212 days since my last Costa Rica sunset with my toes in the sand. I will never forget this day because it was the last sunset I saw in Tamarindo Costa Rica before the beaches were closed due to COVID-19.

I have never taken a sunset at the beach with my amigos for granted. However, the last seven months have shown me that being able to enjoy the freedoms of time at the beaches plays a huge role in my physical and mental health. Every time I see one of these sunsets, I remind myself how thankful I am for the day that I just had. No matter if it was a good or bad day, the sun setting on the waves of an ocean means that today is over, so let it go.

Costa Rica is coming out of Lockdown from COVID-19

Most Costa Rica beaches have been closed during sunset for over 200 days. As I said, excited is an understatement. I feel like she is eight years old again, waiting to get into Disneyland for the first time. Instead, I'm a 46-year-old woman who can't wait to drink her cerveza while watching the sunset along the Golden Coast of Costa Rica.

I will have an extra drink for my friends all over the world to celebrate that the air borders are also open to everyone starting November 1, 2020. 90-day tourist visas have also been extended, depending on your date of travel. Costa Rica requires foreigners to acquire COVID-19 testing and insurance for entry. The upside is pricing on both insurance and testing are come down. Some airlines have even announced that they will be offering testing as part of their services. Read more about requirement at  U.S. Embassy in Costa Rica.
