The Collection

We don’t do filler. Every guide, cookbook, and resource we produce is built from a decade of boots-on-the-ground experience. These are the exact tools we used to move our family and navigate this country. They are designed to save you time, money, and the frustration of figuring it out the hard way.

about

Cut the Crap Costa Rica

Cut the Crap Costa Rica started with a bold move: Our founders sold everything they owned, packed up their two youngest kids, and headed to the jungle with nothing but a few suitcases and a one-way ticket.

That leap of faith turned into a decade of boots-on-the-ground experience and a series of #1 worldwide bestsellers. We didn’t want to create another glossy travel brochure; we wanted to provide the honest, no-nonsense truth that we wished we had when we started.

Today, our mission remains the same: To strip away the tourist fluff and give you the essential resources to travel, cook, and live in Costa Rica like a local. No tourist traps. No headaches. Just the real Pura Vida.

The Philosophy

'No-Crap' Code

We believe in the honest truth. No sugar-coating, no hidden agendas, and zero tourist traps. Our mission is to empower you with the facts so you can experience the real Costa Rica—not the version sold in glossy brochures. If it isn't good enough for our family, it isn't good enough for yours."

This book is awesome!

If you’re moving to CR, especially anywhere in the Guanacaste region, this is the perfect book. It’s an easy read, has tons of super useful information, but isn’t so long that you’ll never finish it.

Best “how to” guide yet!!!!!

The Pages have put together a great up to date experiential guide to relocating to Costa Rica. I have lived here for over 23 years and this book has all the information that I would love to share with newcomers. It’s well informed and comprehensive as well as a fun read. They cover all the major aspects of daily life whether you are planning on being here for just a month to a lifetime. I am so glad they took the time to compile and share this great local info. It will help anyone who is considering the move and will definitely ease the challenges of transition. I loved reading their book and will share it with friends as well as use it as a resource for myself. This is a must buy. (Reviewed on Amazon.com)
