  • 1 cup Black Beans
  • 4 Bay Leaves
  • 1 tbsp Cumin (or Chili Powder)
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp Fresh Cilantro minced (7-10 sprigs)
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • 3 cup Water

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Measure out the beans and rinse of debris, then add to the electric pressure cooker pot.
  • Mince the garlic and cilantro, and add to the pot.

Cook

  • Add the water and all remaining spices to the pot. Secure the lid and set to the "Beans" setting.
  • When the timer goes off, release the pressure. If you want softer beans, allow the black beans to sit under presser for an additional 5-8 minutes.
  • Once the pressure is released, drain any excess water.
  • Serve and enjoy.
