Tamarindo Club Life Schedule

Tamarindo is Lit

Ellis Page

Here in Tamarindo Costa Rica, we get a lot of Tourist. In 2015 we hit our peak of about 2.6 million in one year. You might be asking yourself why? I mean that’s a freaking crazy amount of people to visit a small little town. Well, the answer is simple, as the kids these days say Tamarindo is Lit. In lamest terms that just means it’s a party town. Every night (especially during high season) Tamarindo’s clubs open up and people go out and get their club scene on. Now there are clubs and bars all over town but there are three main ones. The biggest one is a sports bar called Sharky’s the other two are Pacifico and the Monkey Bar.

Each club is different in their own way, and they all have their big nights over the other ones. Believe it or not, even the crazy club life runs on an untold schedule. I say untold because it’s not set in stone or official per say. And also all the bars are opened every night and many have live music options. This schedule is just an inside thing some of the locals go off of, in order to go to the best club for that night.

Which Club for Which Night

So for every night of the week, there is a different club doing a different activity. We will start on Monday. Now Monday and Thursday are exceptions to this schedule because there really is not one super special thing going on. So for the days of the week not on this list, I would recommend trying one of the clubs I don’t talk about on this list or even hit a few. Like I had said before there is plenty of bars and clubs in Tamarindo so go see which is the best for you.

Tuesday

Tuesday on the other hand, does have an event going on at a bar right at the end of the Tamarindo road called Sharky’s. Every Tuesday you can go for a fun karaoke night! Either go with a group and make some memories or go alone and meet some new friends. Whether you prefer to watch others go on stage or make your own appearance your destined to have a great time and make loads of memories.

Wednesday & Saturday

Pacifico

Wednesday is a whole different story though. Instead of a bar, we have a club I mentioned before called Pacifico. Pacifico is located at the roundabout boarding the beach next to a restaurant called Nogui’s. Every Wednesday Pacifico is the place to be with a big crowd, tons of dancing and a live DJ. Pacifico is also the place to be on Saturday nights too, with even more people to party with due to the night it is on!

Friday

Monkey Bar (Best Western)

Friday night is another huge party night in Tamarindo just as everywhere else. But the number one place to go on Fridays is the Monkey Bar. This is a huge place right at the beginning of the town. During the day you can get a family friendly area with drinks, food, and relaxing times by the pool along with a beautiful view of the beach. but at night this place turns into a great party place with the occasional music or fire performers. The Monkey Bar is a great place for an unforgettable night with friends and family.

Sunday

And last but not least we have Sundays, now as opposed to the famous movie footloose we are open Sunday night… in a way, it is not as crazy as most nights and most bars are closed. So the best place to go on a Sunday is once again Sharkys but this time for some fun rounds of beer pong in a tournament. So make sure to pick a good buddy and make your way to the top. This does sadly have a small fee to get in but let’s be honest what else are you gonna do on a Sunday night?

So with all these clubs and parties, you are bound to find something fun for yourself and others in this small but crazy town. Make sure when you’re going out to not just stick to these clubs though. There are tons of places to go to in or outside of Tamarindo so make sure to explore stay safe and make some memories.

Monday: Choose your adventure.
Tuesday: Sharky’s
Wednesday: Pacifico
Thursday: Choose your adventure.
